Iron County Fair Kiddie Demolition Derby
For kids ages 3-7 (Up to 80 lbs) The child must be this age/weight on the day of the derby.
Registration begins at Noon on Wednesday through Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in the office.
No Payment is due at registration.
Each child will receive a prize.
Each child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who can sign a participation form at the time of registration and be present during the derby heat.
The Iron County Fair will supply all kids with a power wheels car to participate along with a helmet. Helmets MUST be worn for participation.
Kids will not be allowed to bring their own power wheels car; however, a personal helmet is encouraged. A bicycle helmet is ok.
All power wheels will be run as — purchased from the supplier. No modifications will be allowed except for the decaled sponsorship advertisement by the fair board.
The demolition derby will take place in the Rotunda at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Kids will be divided into heats by age.
There will be 1 child per car, no passengers.
A heat will last 5 minutes, or until only 1 vehicle has balloons on it.
Each power wheels car will have balloons tied to the back bumper and the front bumper. Kids will aim to pop as many balloons as possible during the heat.
Parents will not be allowed in the arena during the heat. Only Iron County Fair Officials will be allowed to enter the arena.
Unsportsmanlike conduct is prohibited. If displayed, the parent and child will be asked to leave the event. Let’s practice good sportsmanship!
This event is meant to be fun only, so everyone is a winner!
Winners of heats can drive car during regular demo, with trophy.
